Academy Award-winning VFX Supervisor Rob Legato talks about one of the most technologically advanced films ever made – The Jungle Book. Drawing on this experience and others, Rob will share the secrets that helped him and his team reinvent the film production pipeline, as well as the addition of the VR element tied to the live-action film.

New York City based film and virtual reality director, Milica Zec, teams up with Brooklyn based director and producer Winslow Turner Porter III, to share their short VR narrative piece called, “Giant” which premiered at Sundance Film Festival New Frontier 2016. Since its premiere, “Giant has been lauded as a seminal expression of the potential of virtual reality as a storytelling vehicle.

“Giant” is a 6 minute virtual reality cinematic experience based on true events, that transports the viewer into the experience of a family struggling to survive in an active war zone.

“Giant” premiered at Sundance Film Festival New Frontier 2016.
