Rita Street, President of Radar Cartoons, joins Steve Waskul during this Waskul.TV interview from SIGGRAPH 2016. The conversation covers a lot of territory related to cartoon production and in working to succeed in the business.

About Rita Street

Rita Street is the president of Radar Cartoons, a producer’s representation firm specializing in the development and sales of original animated content. Radar has helped clients place numerous series into development and production with major global networks. Rita’s recent executive producer credits include: “Hero: 108” on Cartoon Network, “Teenage Fairytale Dropouts” an international co-production which aired on The Hub and “Ruby Gloom” for Mighty Fine, Nelvana and YTV. Currently, Rita has several projects in development with national and international networks and a feature film with a global producer.

Before opening Radar, Rita worked as a publisher, editor and journalist focusing on the industry of animation. She has served as the publisher of Animation Magazine, the editor of Film & Video Magazine and has also authored several books on graphic arts including the Rockport Publisher hardback, “Computer Animation: A Whole New World”. Rita is also the founder of the international non-profit organization, Women In Animation and serves as its co-president.
